Transfering images from media library in page
-
Any advice please: In the past I have used the Edit Page to add loads of my pictures easily.
But now for some reason when I enter the Edit Gallery box in Edit Page Menu a gallery order box appears and goes no further, when previously it took me to a download picture button etc.
I have tried various alternatives such as the New Post route with does place the pictures in the library but they do not enter the webpage.
I have tried “attaching” them and everything seems correct but still they do not appear on my page
Any thoughts please? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there – Are you trying to add additional images to a post or page? If so, you can use the Add Media button:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/#upload-images-from-your-computerIf you’re trying to add or edit a gallery, please follow these instructions:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/Does this answer your question? If not, could you please provide a bit more detail about how things are different for you than in those instructions? I’m not certain where you’re looking. A screenshot might be the quickest way to make it clear to me. Here are instructions for how to make a screenshot: http://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/
You can upload it to your blog’s Media Library and I can look at it there.

Thanks Eurello – I have been trying to figure out how to send a screenshot to one of your colleagues and this link
told me how to make a screenshot, but not how to then send it to you, but your additional sentence solves the problem
You can upload it to your blog’s Media Library and I can look at it there.
Perhaps it would be worth adding to the content of that link. -
Sorry, I realised I hadn’t scrolled down far enough and if I had, it would have said to attach it to your Media Library!
-
Thanks for this:
The problem is the add media button has stopped working. The screen with the dialogue box for downloading new pictures just does not appear, therefore I cannot add pictures or edit them.
Any ideas? -
Hi there – Could you please clear your browser cache? If that doesn’t make a difference, can you please try it in an alternate browser, such as Firefox, to see if the same thing happens? That doesn’t mean you have to switch browsers permanently, but it will help us narrow down what to troubleshoot.
-
Many thanks Eurello,
Have cleared browser cache but this did not help.
Have tried firefox but I seem to only get into the public webpage and not my edit facility.
Once again any help would be much appreciated. -

@robleckeyart – In Chrome, can you please go to the do the following:
1: Go to the screen where the Add Media button isn’t working and click it.
2: Use the keyboard shortcut Control+Shift+J
3: Select View > Developer > JavaScript Console.
4: If there are errors/warnings the console will displays a red icon along with the message text, which is colored red. Please copy paste the content of that and post it in this thread.

Hi Eurello
There was not a “view” selection but the below message did come up in red in the “console” section.
Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token ILLEGAL pop.1.1.002.min.js:3

Hi Rob – Thanks for that. We’re looking into this issue and I’ll let you know when I have a bit more information.
From what you describe with the gallery, that seems like it might be a different issue? I understand that (a) your Add Media button is not working at all; and (b) when you attempt to edit an existing gallery, you get a dialogue box that’s different from what you expected. Is that correct?
If so, can you please make a screenshot of the weird gallery dialogue box so I can take a look? Here are instructions for how to make a screenshot: http://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/
You can share the screenshot with me using this tool: http://snag.gy/
Just follow those directions to add your screenshot to that service, and then copy and paste into your reply here the short URL that Snaggy gives you once your screenshot has uploaded.
-
Hi Rob – Could you also please try right-clicking on the error in the console, the ‘Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token ILLEGAL pop.1.1.002.min.js:3’ error, and see if it gives you a URL of where the error is coming from? Paste that URL here. Thanks for your patience as we look into this.

Hi Eurello,
I think my problem is solved. I have been having so many problems with my PC that I decided to “system restore” which also allowed me back to the place were I can thankfully “add media” to my webpage.
Many thanks for your very help support, it has been very much appreciated.
regards
