transfering my domain + website from wix to wordpress

    Hello, I currently have a website via wix and I would like to switch to wordpress. I’m not too familiar with how to do this. My website is currently published through wix, will I have to start from scratch? If so, that is ok, decision’s made, but if there’s any way to get a step by step on how to do so that would be great.
    PS: I have two sites/domains via wix, also another site/domain on another account (my partner’s), we would like to make the switch for all three sites/domains. I would thus have three domains/sites associated to my wordpress account. Sorry if I’m not getting the terminology correct.. :) Thanks for your help

    Thank you for reaching out!

    Please give your WIX website address that you want to transfer to WordPress, then we can proceed as per this instruction:
    https://wordpress.com/support/import/import-from-wix/. So the good news are that you don’t have to start from scratch!

    For this part we would need some clarification to move on:

    Every website has a hosting and a domain, they can be in one hands like WIX or can be purchased via different providers. They can be also mixed up: mapped, transferred. So please tell us exactly, please list all domains you want to transfer or to keep or whatever?

    Once you create a WordPress.com account, you will get unlimited hosting space and bandwidth.

    All WordPress.com sites come with 3 GB of space for uploaded files and images. Upgrading to a WordPress.com Plan comes with additional space depending on the plan.
    WordPress.com Personal includes another 3 GB of extra storage, for a total of 6 GB.
    WordPress.com Premium includes another 10 GB of extra storage, for a total of 13 GB.
    WordPress.com Business and eCommerce includes 200 GB of total storage space.

    Here I mean you can create as many sites on WordPress.com. There is no limit on no of sites you can create.
