transfering or mapping domain

    Hi,
    As WP is not offering .lv domains I wanted understand how excatly is the transfer of site going to happen?
    If I buy a domain (.lv) can I put all of my existing content (free plan currently) to the new domain (If I buy premium subscription at WP)? How does that happen and what steps should I take to do that? I am not the best at IT side, that is why the guide seemed to be a bit too complicated… :)

    There are two ways to connect existing domain (Either by mapping your existing domain or transferring your domain) to your WordPress.com site.

    WordPress.com doesn’t have .lv TLD under the list of available TLD’s. Therefore, it cannot be registered or transferred to WordPress.com.. So, domain mapping is the only option for you.

    Mapping your domain to your WordPress.com site

    -This method connects your domain with your WordPress.com site, but the domain continues to be registered with whomever you initially purchased the domain from. You would continue to pay them for the domain renewal.

    Yes, you just need to upgrade to any of the paid plans and then add your domain (map your existing domain) to your WordPress.com site. You just need to follow all the steps given in the document map an existing domain.
