Transfering or releasing an expired domain name

Hi.
The Domain Name vulcanlegionbranch21.com I believe this is registered to http://www.wildwestdomains.com via WordPress.com. This domain name has expired and we would like to have it either transferred or release so that we can register it to a different registrar and website hosted elsewhere. Please advise how to do this.

You are correct, vulcanlegionbranch21.com is registered with Wild West Domains via WordPress.com.
Do note delete vulcanlegionbranch21.com. Deleting domains forfeits ownership of them, and you will not be able to use it again.

Thanks for your reply Liz. I am the developer for the domain name vulcanlegionbranch21.com. I have read the guide you sent but am not able to find the domain vulcanlegionbranch21.com so that I can transfer it to the new registrar. Can you tell me where to find it. I am logged in as trulaf.

If you are logged in as trulaf and you do not see the option to renew vulcanlegionbranch21.com, then you are not logged into the account that originally registered the domain. You need to be signed in to that original account in order to renew, transfer, delete, etc… Once you are logged in correctly you would see the domain that you want to transfer listed here: https://wordpress.com/domains/manage You would just click on vulcanlegionbranch21.com and see the option for ‘transfer domain’ once you scroll down a little on that page.
