Transfering the registrar details of an expired domain name

Hey, I need some help transferring the ownership details/registrar settings of a domain I purchased through WordPress which has now expired.
I purchased intandemcompetition.com through wordpress, it is now in the redemption period as I no longer need the domain name but a friend would now like to purchase it. How can I change the setting so my friend can renew the subscription?
I’ve tried following the steps on the support page and have read the info here http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/.
I’m still none the wiser, can someone help me!

You might be able to transfer it yourself at
Dashboard >> Store >> My Upgrades >> If there is a transfer button associated with the domain name
Not completely sure if a domain name in Redemption can be transferred – but worth a try –
also you or your friend will need staff help to get the name out of redemption and renew it.

Your domain intandemcompetition.com expired on February 23. Before it expired, we sent email warnings and displayed notifications on your dashboard.
Domains in redemption cannot be transferred.
Domain expiration is a lengthy and complicated process that takes about 80 days. During this time, your domain may be put up for auction or sold on back-order. You can learn more about expired domains here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/
The good news is that you can still recover your domain, as it has not yet been deleted or purchased by someone else. A late renewal fee of $80 will be added to the regular price of renewal.
You can renew this domain and manage all your other upgrades under Store > My Upgrades in your dashboard.
