Transfering to self hosted
-
I purchased a domain and premium subscription through wordpress.com but apparently cannot use my personal theme with it. So now I need to refund all and go somewhere else. Do I need to cancel my premium subscription AND domain? Or can I point my domain to somewhere else?

Hi there,
First, I noticed you have submitted multiple requests for support. To keep our conversation organized, I’m going to respond to your questions here and close the other requests. Please keep all further correspondence in this thread.
I noticed you were able to cancel the Premium bundle and issue a partial refund of $53. I went ahead and issued a refund for the remaining amount of $26 from your Premium bundle. Please allow several days before the funds are available at your account.
Regarding your domain, I left that $26 charge intact as it sounds like you want to keep your domain, but use it on a self-hosted site. The best method for doing that would be to map your domain elsewhere following the instructions here:
Following those instructions, you can use your domain with another service.
Then, after 60 days past the date of registration, you can transfer your domain to another registrar following the instructions here:
This way, you have the opportunity to have your domain registration and hosting service in the same location.
Please let me know if you need anything else!
