Transfering website

  Is there an easy way to start creating my new website without effecting my current website hosted with GoDaddy?

  I would like to work on the site but don’t want anything to change until I am happy with the new site.

  Hi there,

  All sites on WordPress.com get a free WordPress.com subdomain when the site is created, that functions just like any regular subdomain, and your site is fully online and accessible at that subdomain (provided you launch it).

  So you can experiment and build your site at that free address, even upgrade the site while still using the free address, and only switch the domain over to us once you’re ready to take the current site offline.

  I see you’ve already upgraded to the Pro plan and started a domain transfer. That’s fine, as your domain will keep on pointing to GoDaddy until you deliberately update it to point to us instead, so as long as your hosting plan at GoDaddy remains active, your domain should continue showing your site on their end, while you’ll access your WordPress.com site at the free address while you’re working on it.
