Transfering wordpress.com to .org

    I am struggling to transfer my wordpresss.com blog over to wordpress.org. I decided to self-host to increase my customizing power using wordpress.org. The domain name is unpublishables.co and I understand how to export the xml file from .com and how to import it to .org. Can you offer some help on the matter? Also would like to keep the same domain name and I should note I am hosting through StableHost.

    You say you understand how export the XML file, but this is only one step in the transfer process. Can you be a bit more specific about which step in transferring you are having trouble with?

    Hey guys,
    I have a wordpress.com blog and bought the domain and would like to move it to a new host (everything is already set up). But when I wanted to transfer it, it says that I have to wait 60 days.
    Is there any, any way that I can finally work on my new website (using plugins, css and whatnot) without having to wait 2 whole months? :(
