Transferred blog wrongly!!! please help!!

  Hi, I transferred my blog over to the user thefashionbackpack accidentally as I didn’t really understand the concept and was trying to move it over to godaddy (lol) it’s my only blog and i would really appreciate if it could be transferred back after my stupid mistake. :( as i don’t even know where it is now! thank you in advance

  Hi thanks for your reply!!

  I have access to my account but my site/blog isn’t actually there anymore, I can’t make any new posts or access any new information.. :( so the site doesn’t seem to be mine anymore

  Hi there,

  Do you own the account thefashionbackpack as well? If so, you can log into that account and transfer the site back to this account.

  In order to transfer a blog to another account you need to click past a big red warning message saying that this is permanent, that the other account will be the new owner of the site and that this cannot be undone. You also need to click a link in a confirmation email that has the same message.

  If you don’t own the other account I don’t think that there is anything we can do, as that account now owns the site. However, I will check with our terms of service team about this and get back to you.

  Hi there,

  Good news: We were able to restore the blog to your account in this case, so you should now be able to access it again.

  I assume you already have a domain and hosting with GoDaddy? You’ll also need to install the WordPress software and a theme over there before you can move your site.

  To move your site over to GoDaddy you have to export the content at My Site ->Settings ->Export.

  That will generate a file that you can import at WP-Admin ->Tools ->Import on your GoDaddy site. Please make sure that all your content and media files are transferred before you delete anything on the WordPress.com site here, or before you set it to private.

  and thank you! i actually cancelled my account with go daddy as I much prefer the “normal” wordpress, haha
