Transferred Domain to GoDaddy?

    Getting super lost in this domain transfer/hosting/etc. stuff.

    I purchased a domain through WordPress and built a blog. I was frustrated with using the platform and decided to seek another hosting site for the blog. I transferred the domain to GoDaddy, thinking the site had picked it up for hosting. I wanted to connect my domain to Wix, but now GoDaddy is telling me that my domain is not managed by them but by WordPress. I do not want to use this platform and I have NO idea how to get out of it with my domain name. I’m close to just purchasing a new domain name altogether through another site to avoid all of the frustration, but would rather not spend the extra money.
