  Can I have my wordpress.com site redirected to my self-hosted wordpress site? And if so, how? Also, can I transfer followers from the .com site to the new one?

  To redirect traffic from your free WordPress.com address to another site you will need to buy the Site Redirect upgrade:

  Site Redirect

  You can move your subscribers yourself via the Jetpack plugin as explained above, but let me know if you need any help with that.
