  I have a blog on a self-hosted WordPress via Godaddy, and I’m looking to transfer to a free WordPress site. I clicked a help article to start that process and it’s directing me to purchase a domain..

  In this example, I use the word anything to search for domain choices. You can use any search term that you like.

  Hi there,

  I see you already have a free site, https://laughoftenhealthblog.wordpress.com/

  Go to My Site ->Tools ->Import, and select the WordPress import option. Then click the link mentioning uploading a file.

  That will take you to the screen where you can upload a WordPress export file to migrate your site content only. You can get that file by going WP-Admin ->Tools ->Export on your GoDaddy site.
