transferring a blog

i’ve read how to transfer a blog to a different username. but what happens to all the comments i’ve previously made on blogs linked to said blog? for instance, if i change my current username to be linked to my personal blog and transfer my primary public food blog to another username. will all the comments i’ve made using wordpress on other food blogs now link to my personal blog or will it retain my food blog address??

The blog linked to your username will not switch in previously made comments if you switch the blog associated with that username. The blog linked to the username at the time you made the comment is what is shown in the comments. So if you transfer your food blog to a new different username, then previous comments made under the previous username will link to the food blog, and new comments made under the new different username will also link to the food blog.
