Transferring a Blog

I am transferring a blog between two different WordPress accounts. To complete the transfer I need to click a link sent to the email address associated with the account I am transferring the blog from. However, the account was set up with an intern’s email address which is no longer active. How do I complete the transfer if the email account is closed?

Hi, the email address for that wordpress account would have to be changed to an active email address.

Companies, organizations, and groups of any kind do not own blogs and sharing login information is not recommended.
Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner. It is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and a single associated email address, and who is the original Admin of the blogs registered under that username account.
The blog’s actual owner needs to use Account Recovery first and then transfer his/her blog to another username account. Please have the blog’s actual owner complete the form for account recovery at this link https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery and submit it to the Account Recovery Staff, and provide proof ownership, so they can contact you by email ie. not on these public support forums which are available to everyone with internet access.

To update an email address the blog’s owner needs to go to https://wordpress.com/me/account and make the change there. Then check in his/her email spam filter and under your “social” tab in your Gmail account please, if he/she uses it. https://en.support.wordpress.com/email-notifications/gmail-issues/
