Transferring a canceled domain

  Hello,

  I recently canceled my domain (knittingwonders.org) because I made a mistake in purchasing the premium option on WordPress, when I was trying to do the same on Bluehost. I was told by Bluehost that I can contact Wild West Domains because that is where my domain is registered. Upon contacting Wild West, they told me that I needed to contact you guys back in order for me to transfer my domain name of Knittingwonders.org to my Bluehost account. Can you help me with this?

  Hi Sierra,

  Since the cancellation is fresh I believe you can have your domain back.

  I have notified the Support Staff. They’ll let you know how to proceed with the recovery of your domain.

  I see you had a previous chat with our support team about this. Because your domain was a new registration it will only take 5 days (from the registration date) to be released after it was cancelled. You should be able to register this domain again tomorrow Feb 7th at your new registrar.

  The alternate option is that I can try to recover the domain for you and leave it registered with us. This options prevents you from being able to transfer it for 60 days as part of the ICANN regulations. After the 60 days you can transfer it to a different registrar. In the meantime, it would stay with us and you could edit the name servers on it to show your new site.
