  I’m new to this whole website thing, so I didn’t know exactly what I was doing when registering my domain name. After reading up on it, I want full control of my website and was wondering how to transfer my domain from wordpress to another hosting site.

  The organization that controls domain names, ICANN, requires a 60-day wait before transferring a domain to another registrar. After 60 days have passed, follow the steps in this guide to transfer your domain: https://en.support.wordpress.com/transfer-domain-registration/

  In the meantime, you can still use your domain with another host by changing the domain’s name servers. Here’s how to do that: https://en.support.wordpress.com/change-name-servers/
