Transferring a domain

  I own a domain that is registered with 1 & 1 domain. Can I cancel my subscription to 1&1 once I transfer my domain to wordpress? Or do I still have to keep my subscription with 1&1?

  1. I don’t think you want to be here at all. I explained why in my answer to you in that first thread. You are fixated on running ads and it’s WordPress.ORG site that you need.

  2. WordPress.com does not accept incoming domain transfers. If you choose to accept the limitations of being a WordPress.COM blogger described here http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ then your only choice is to map an existing domain. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
