  Hi! I’m trying to transfer my domain, BUT I’ve already paid for it with Weebly for like two years. How do I transfer to WordPress and keep those costs OR do I need to wait two years?

  Hello @professorbirmingham –

  No you don’t have to wait you can initiate a domain transfer at anytime.

  To transfer your domain from Weebly, you need an upgraded WordPress.com plan on your site (such as a Personal, Premium, or Business plan). You can read more about transferring your domain from this help documentation: https://wordpress.com/support/move-domain/incoming-domain-transfer/

  Hi there,

  You won’t lose any of the time you’ve already paid for on the domain when you transfer – if your domain is registered until 2022 it will still be registered to 2022 after the transfer, and as part of the process it will also be renewed so it will in fact be valid until 2023 after the transfer.
