Transferring a domain I already renewed

    I have a domain that I just renewed for 3 years today. it appears if I move it to you I will have to pay this all over again. is this correct?

    To transfer the domain to WordPress.com, your account will require a plan upgrade. Each plan comes with a credit for your domain, so there’s not an additional fee there.

    Check out the plans at https://wordpress.com/pricing/ and add one to your account. Then you can proceed with the domain transfer.

    You can transfer your domain to WordPress.com using “Transferring a domain to WordPress.com” in Domain page.

    Your domain registration and billing will be moved from your current domain provider to WordPress.com. That means in future you’ll manage all aspects of your domain here, including renewal, cancellation, or a future transfer.
