transferring a domain name

  Do I need to transfer my domain name from GoDaddy? And, if so, can I transfer it back if I decide that it wasn’t a good idea?

  Hi @ethanm353, you get a domain credit with each of our plans:
  https://wordpress.com/pricing

  You can use that credit to map the domain instead of transferring, if you’d like. Then you wouldn’t have to transfer. And, if you wanted to transfer it later so you don’t have to pay extra to renew it, support could help with that. You’d just want to be sure to take care of it several weeks before the domain is due to expire.
