Transferring a domain name

  Do I get to keep the two years remaining on my godaddy domain name if I transfer it to wordpress? Or do I essentially need to ‘repurchase’ it with wordpess?

  Yup! When you transfer it, in fact, another year is added automatically. So if you have two extra years now and transfer it, a third will be added. If you’re not sure about that, you’re also welcome to just map the domain for now (which is free with the plan).
