transferring a domain name from Shaw to WordPress

  I currently have a website with the domain name http://www.thehuntergroup.ca hosted through Shaw. I want to simply take that domain name, transfer it to be the domain name for http://www.debrahunter.wordpress.com, and then simply delete the site hosted by Shaw. Help at Shaw seems confused as to how to do it, perhaps because we want to leave them as a website provider. Can you please tell me how to transfer the domain name across? If we can make it work I have a second one I also need to transfer; WordPress is just a much better system than Shaw’s for websites and blogs. Thanks! Deb
