  Hi – please confirm what is the cost of transferring a Domain Name from WordPress to another provider company? Only interested in cost details.

  Separately, Am I correct in assuming that mapping a domain is free?

  Domain mapping is not free – $ 13.- / year

  If you have a domain name registered with WordPress.COM and want to transfer the domain name registration to another Registrar there is no fee involved other than what might be charged by your new Registrar for the transfer –
