transferring a GoDaddy website to WordPress

  If I transfer my present E-Comerce Site from GoDaddy to WordPress, will the present E-Commerce site keep running with any down time ?

  Hi there,

  As long as you do things in the right order, you shouldn’t have any downtime.

  Specifically, you want to leave moving your domain till last, as the moment you do that the current site will go offline.

  So create your site here, upgrade to the Business or eCommerce plan and install the plugins you need, migrate your content, and only once the new site is ready do you change the domain’s name servers to us and start the domain transfer.
