Transferring a site and the username to another user

    Hello,
I know that, in order to transfer a wp.com blog, a user can use the tool explained here. But, what about if I would like to transfer the username too?

I do not use my wp.com blog anymore, so I’m happy to transfer the ownership to the user that send me the request. The user, however, asked me also the username, if possible. She is already a wp.com user, with a site and a username (and an email address, already known to wp.com).

Could be a safe solution to give her my credentials to the account? The steps would be the following:

    1) change the email address in https://wordpress.com/me/account
    2) email her the password and the username (that she already knows).

Is it safe to do so? Is there anything I am forgetting?

And also, the email address of the requester is already used in her active wp.com account (with an active site). What happens if I enter that email in the account to-be-transferred? Will she have a dashboard with two usernames and two sites under the same account and under the same email address?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

This information from WordPress resolved the issue (found via a search engine, key words ‘transfer WordPress blog and user name’).
