Transferring a Site to Another WordPress.com Account

    Thanks for trying to assist Macmanx. I followed the instructions but when it came to the part on “Transferring Paid Plans and Upgrades” and I clicked “contact us” it took me to a form that says “Post a new question in our public forums, where it may be answered by helpful community members, by submitting the form below. Please do not provide financial or contact information when submitting this form.”

    I have a paid plan and reason for the urgency is that the next annual payment is on 27Apr so I would like to transfer to the next user before then so Im not billed. I have left the company.

    What is the URL of the site you’re trying to transfer? The account you’re using to post here doesn’t own any paid plans with us, nor are you a user on any site where someone else owns a paid plan. The last upgrade you owned with us was removed from your account in 2017.

    The URL is https://satcc.info/
    Ahh yes, Im using the company CS email here but the plan is on my personal email ( (email visible only to moderators and staff) ).
    You should be able to find it with that the mail.

    That is the domain you used to have mapped with us under this account, but that domain hasn’t been hosted on WordPress.com since 28 April 2017.

    That domain is registered with GoDaddy.com, and currently appears to be hosted with Wix.com, so we control neither your domain nor your site.

    The site you used to have connected to that domain with us is satccinfo.wordpress.com, and you should be able to transfer that to another account using the instructions staff-blorbo gave as that site does not currently have any upgrades. But that is not the site appearing at https://satcc.info/

    To transfer https://satcc.info/ to someone else you’ll need to contact support at Wix for their process.

    Hi Kokkieh

    Im aware the domain is hosted on GD but what baffles me is your comment on the site being hosted on Wix; I can log into the site’s wordpress backend of satcc.info and make changes there. Furthermore I have a annual bill on my credit card due on 27Apr2020. What would this bill be for then and why can I log into WP if its on Wix?

    On satccinfo.wordpress.com, we dont use this and I created it by mistake in the beginning as I didnt know there are 2 types of WordPress versions.

    Im pretty lost so thanks for the help!

    I had another look, and while your domain is pointed to Wix’s name servers, making them the host for your DNS, your domain’s public DNS records include an A record pointing it to https://www.hosteurope.de/, via the IP address, 160.153.137.20

    So while your domain’s DNS is hosted by Wix, your website is hosted by https://www.hosteurope.de/, and using the open source version of WordPress made by the community on WordPress.org.

    So the charge on your card is most likely for your hosting account at HostEurope, in which case you’ll need to contact them about that.

    But you definitely don’t have any pending charges with us, as your account doesn’t own any active upgrades on our end.
