Transferring a theme from wordpress.com to wordpress.org

  I have just transferred my site from wordpress.com to wordpress.org. While on wordpress.com I purchased the theme linen. This theme has not transferred to wordpress.org. I have tried but cannot figure out how to transfer it – can someone help?

  Hi Sarah,

  Premium theme licenses cannot be transferred either in or out of WordPress.com. In this case, since your theme is past its refund date with us, your best bet would be to reach out to the publisher of Linen, which I took the liberty of looking up and have included the link to below, and see if they are willing to give you a discount on a license for the WordPress.org version. There are no guarantees, but many theme developers are willing to help.
