Transferring a website to WordPress
-
I have built a web site using Weebly and would like to transfer it to WordPress without disrupting the blog that is already under that domain name. Is this possible? Can you help?

Hi there!
You can transfer your site by following this guide:

You can keep the free .wordpress.com subdomain while you work on the site and only transfer or map your custom domain once you’re ready :)

Yes :) This is a very common question. Go ahead and build your new site on WordPress.com. Import your content, customize the theme, get it all ready to launch.
Keeping the new site private will help prevent any SEO confusion since you’re going to have the same content on two different addresses.

There’s 2 ways to connect the domain. Either will work fine.
1. Mapping: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
2. Transfer: https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/Write back with more questions :)
