  How do I make this wordpress account the active wordpress site within my bluehost domain? I want to be able to edit it within bluehost but it won’t let me.

  Correct account: Yes

  Hi there! Bluehost and WordPress.com are two separate companies, providing two slightly different platforms for hosting a WordPress site. We’re not directly linked, which might be why you’re finding you’re having trouble.

  I do see that on your WordPress.com account you have a domain registered, that you purchased yesterday (8 May 2023): ryandeanwilliams.blog.

  Was this the domain name you wanted to use with a site you’re creating at Bluehost? If so then what you’d need to do is set ryandeanwilliams.blog so that it points to Bluehost’s ‘name servers’. You’d need to find out from Bluehost what those name servers are, and then you can change that setting for ryandeanwilliams.blog here. We do have a guide for where to find and use the name server settings too.

  I notice you already have a little content set up here on WordPress.com. It looks like it’s intended to be a blog post, if I understand correctly! You may wish to also move this content over to Bluehost, since that is not something which is moved over when a domain is pointed to a different set of name servers. We do of course have a guide to help you export your content from WordPress.com!
