Transferring Account To New Owners?
-
What would be involved in transferring my WP.com Premium account to new owners? I’m paid up until sometime in November I think. Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
If you want to transfer your entire account, username and all, the simplest way is to just give the new owners your password. Then they can log in, change the email address to their own and set a new password.
Before doing this, make sure to delete any saved billing info from the Billing History page:
https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/billing/
If you just want to transfer ownership of your site to another username account, while keeping your own username account, you can follow the process here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/
That will transfer ownership of the site and all upgrades attached to it, and remove you as an admin.

Thank you, handing over the login sounds simple enough.
How do we ensure I won’t be billed again for the account? Does deleting saved Billing Info remove my card info from your billing system?
Assuming yes, then when the account expires the billing team would contact the email address connected to the account and request a renewal payment?
Do I get it?

Hi there,
I can assist you in disabling auto-renewal for your upgrades if you like. Otherwise, you can go to your manage purchases page to toggle off autorenewal:
https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/Any billing information connected to you would then be removed from those upgrades. When the new owners take over the account, they can update the credit card information if they want to restart the autorenewal process:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/change-credit-card-details/
Also, yes, if they update the email connected to the account to their address, then any future correspondence, including that from the billing team, would go to them moving forward.
