Transferring an account

  I am considering moving my account from GoDaddy to WordPress. It includes a website and email and I want to make sure there is no disruption to the email account

  I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

  With regards to email, at some point you would need to either map the domain ( https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/ ) or transfer the domain ( https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/ ) over to WordPress.com.

  Prior that, you would need to take account of the DNS settings that power the email address, as these would need to be re-applied here at WordPress.com after pointing the domain to WordPress.com.
