Transferring an electronic portfolio to my blog
-
I need to know if I can transfer an electronic portfolio (for my master’s program) to my blog. After a while, the school will no longer make the portfolio available to me, and I need potential employers to acces it to see the documents I created during my master’s program.
Is that do-able through my blog?

What format is the profile available in? If it’s a document, you can upload it via Media -> Add New in your blog’s Dashboard.

Thanks for replying, Mac.
I’ve left a message with the help desk at the university to find out the format. Hopefully, I’ll have that info, soon.
But I can tell you it’s a large group of documents “attached” to twelve button links. This is on a university Blackboard program, if you’re familiar with that.
For example: Topic 1 has a button and ‘behind it’ is a page with text and document links (“This document shows ….”). The docs (all PDFs or graphics) are attached to the page (from a content folder) and display when the link is clicked. I assume the document does not physically attach to the page but is accessed from the content folder.
That not only makes sense from a database perspective, it seems to be what happens when I download the portfolio to a CD. I haven’t quite figured it out, yet, but it appears the documents are on the disk and the links pull from them.

You’ll be able to upload the documents themselves and then construct your own pages or posts for them, but not whole Blackboard site.
