Transferring an existing domain from Hostgator to WP

    Hi,

    I own the domain http://www.westelkpackllamas.com and I am trying to transfer that domain to my wordpress site.

    I originally purchased the starter plan, but when trying to ‘Add a domain’ > ‘Use a domain I own’ the ‘Connect your domain’ option was unavailable.

    Wordpress gave me the impression that if I upgraded to the Explorer plan, it would allow me to connect my domain. However after upgrading and paying more money, it is still not available as an option.

    My questions are:
    1) Do I need to have an Explorer plan to transfer my domain from Hostgator to my WordPress site?
    2) If I am able to transfer my Hostgator site using a Starter plan, can I please take advantage of the 14 day money back guarantee and begin the transfer on a Starter plan? Therefore downgrading the plan I am on.
    3) Why is the ‘Select’ button unavailable on the ‘Connect your domain’ option no matter what WP plan I am on?
