Transferring blog back to WordPress

    Hello, I was hoping someone can help me – I currently host my WordPress blog with an external provider who I also have my domain name with. What would be the process for transferring my blog back to WordPress and using my existing Domain name? Thanks in advance!

    Hi there,

    You have two options, one is to move an exact copy of your site as it is now, including it’s current plugins and themes. Note that to use this method you will need to upgrade your WordPress.com site to our Business Plan. After that, the migration is a simple one-click process.

    The other option is more simplified, it allows you to copy just the content (text, images, blog posts, pages, comments, etc) and import them into a new site that you set up here on WordPress.com. This can be done using even our free site option if you wish.
