Transferring blog to my own domain
-
So I have a blog with wordpress, and wanted some extra features, such as adding custom widgets and calendars that the free wordpress doesn’t let me. So I got a domain and hosting, so that I would have space/storage to do these things. Everything works great, but its too expensive. I want to upgrade my wordpress account to transfer the account that I have under wordpress to the domain I bought with the $13/year transfer option. However I don’t want to to lose some of those premium features. Can anyone advise if I transfer to my own domain using that feature, will it be just like having a free blog with wordpress (having limits) or will I have options to add the calendar, like I did with paid hosting.
Thanks a million guys.

Thanks timethief! I’m not very knowledgeable with this stuff so I was very confused, this clears things up a bit. The site I have is for a club and had some plugins that were very helpful. With this upgrade I won’t have access to them anymore which is a bummer, but I don’t have very high traffic anyway, since the website is just an occasional news resource for club members. Thanks again.
