Sorry, my message got cut off.
I want to transfer my blog content from square space back to wordpress, which I know how to do.
But in terms of setting up NOW what I want to be a functioning website with products, VS simply a blog that I have on my free workdpress, how do I go about doing that and finding the right resources about what wordpress to purchase, etc.

Hi Sara,
I want to transfer my blog content from square space back to wordpress
First you will need to export your content from Squarespace. They have some documentation about the process here:
https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/206566687-Exporting-your-site
Once you have an .xml file of your content it can be imported into your WordPress.com site, using the ‘WordPress’ importer:
domain from paid square space site to unpaid wordpress (but will upgrade
We don’t currently accept incoming domain transfers but the domain can be ‘mapped’ to your site using Domain Mapping:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/
You will need an upgraded WordPress.com plan, such as the Personal plan. Each paid plan includes a free domain credit which you can use to map a domain you already own (or register a new one).
Please be aware that you will need to continue to renew the domain with Squarespace. Domain mapping doesn’t include renewal costs :)
Come back to me if you have any questions.
