transferring domain

    I am moving my website to another platform. I went through their process but got the below.

    No I don’t know how to get into WW Domains. I went into Worpress and clicked transfer domain and was told I would receive an email with code. I still haven’t received it. I changed my email last year on WordPress but I am wondering if my domain is registered with my old email which I cannot access.
    How do I go about this?

    Hi there,

    The transfer code email does not go to your WordPress.com account email address, but to the email address connected to your domain registration, and in your case I can see the two are different.

    In order to get the transfer code you’ll first need to change the domain owner contact email for your domain. You do this at My Site ->Domains.

    You’ll receive two confirmation emails, to the new domain contact email you proved, and to your WordPress.com account email. Both will contain a link you need to follow to confirm the change, and one of those should have an option to opt out of a 60 day transfer lock. Please make sure you opt out of that, else you will only be able to transfer the domain after another 60 days.

    If you don’t see the option to opt out of the lock via either email, it means your domain is not eligible to opt out of the lock, and you’ll only be able to transfer it 60 days after making the change.

    The transfer lock after a contact info update is a mandatory regulation by ICANN, the organisation that regulates all domains on the web, and neither us nor our domain provider can bypass that lock.

    Thanks for your reply. I have done the change of email and received confirmation that my email was changed but I did not receive a transfer code. I went to the platform where I am trying to transfer my domain to and still I get the text I posted in my question.

    Okay I have gone through the process and have requested retrieve username T https://sso.secureserver.net/account/retrieve. I now have to type in the 6 digit code which they said they have sent me. I still have not received the code

    You will not be able to log in directly at Wild Wild West domains, as you did not buy the domain from them. You bought it from us. So you can only use our interface to interact with the domain.

    I can see the contact info update on your domain, but I don’t see any new requests for the Auth code after you did that. You’ll need to request the code again before it will be sent to the new address.
