  Hi there, I would like to set up a website with yourselves with a domain I subscribed to on squarespace. Their payment plans are above what I can afford.
  Your site seems to keep trying to make me register a different convoluted domain name. Firstly, how do I do this?

  Here at WordPress.com you could map a domain with a Personal plan. Plans are charged annually not monthly: https://wordpress.com/pricing/
