Transferring domain

  Hi, I’ve recently bought a domain from GoDaddy and don’t think their website builder is sufficient. So im looking to use wordpress instead. It says I can’t transfer the domain as my domain is too new. So i wanted to know if there was a way I could begin working on the site till I can transfer the domain. I also wanted to know any associated costs with transferring a domain?

  Hi @chatlanijayesh, sure. You can map the domain instead of transferring if you’d like:
  http://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-existing-domain/

  Then you can transfer the domain later on when that option is available.

  The domain transfer is included free with your plan cost for the first year, then you’ll pay the regular domain renewal fee as well as the plan price. Most .com domains are $18/year including privacy. You can see full pricing here:
