Transferring domain

  Hello,
  I am very new at this. I purchased my domain from Go Daddy, but I want to use WordPress to design my site. I just read that I can not actually transfer it for another month. I am concerned about fees… do I need to re- pay for everything if I switch over to you?

  Hi! You’ve got a lot of options, actually!

  – If you bought hosting with GoDaddy, as well as your domain, they will likely allow you to install your own copy of WordPress there. It’s a bit more technical than having us take care of the maintenance stuff for you, but it’s doable! This article may help explain the differences, too:

  – If you want to host here with us so we can take care of security, updates, and support, you would be more than welcome to connect the domain now, and transfer later. That’s free with your hosting plan, and we have several options here:

  – Later on, if you’d like to transfer the domain to us, you can do that, even after your site has been live with us for a while. The transfer is free with the plan, and it adds one year to your domain registration.
