Transferring Domain

I am working on rebuilding my companies website with WordPress as it’s currently built and hosted by MonsterWeb.net. If I select the option to use current host and point it to WordPress, would it be possible in the future to switch entirely to wordpress hosting the website?

Hm, I’m not 100% sure what you mean, so let me ask some clarifying questions so we don’t give you the wrong info.
Is the website itself build in WordPress completely, or are portions not WordPress?
Also, do you want to host the whole site here at WordPress.com, or keep the whole site hosted with MosterWeb?

Currently, we have a website built by MonsterWeb that they host and provided a domain (domain is through eNom).
I’ve rebuilt the website on WordPress’ free version and have everything ready to be launched if needed.
I’m working on upgrading our plan to the Business Plan and when it asks for domain, since I chose to use one we already have, it presents me with two options, transfer the domain or connect the domain.
I was going to select the connect domain just in case for whatever reason we decided not to go through with WordPress fully, everything would still be with MonsterWeb. However, if I select that option and in the future want to fully transfer the domain over to WordPress to host, would that be an option?

Ah ok, if you have WordPress hosted elsewhere, that’s the software from WordPress.org.
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
WordPress.com plans are only good for sites hosted here at WordPress.com.
If you do want to move your site over to WordPress.com, you can by following the steps at https://wordpress.com/support/moving-from-self-hosted-wordpress-to-wordpress-com/
You can also try this out here before moving your domain over, since when you sign up for a new site, we give you a free subdomain (*.wordpress.com) that you can use to start building your new site.

I understand. I am asking if I connect my domain from MonsterWeb to my greueenviro.wordpress.com, can I in the future then fully transfer the hosting over the WordPress instead of MonsterWeb.

Yes, you can connect an existing domain registered elsewhere to WordPress.com without transferring it.
It’s worth noting that a one year free domain registration is included with a plan upgrade, and transferring your domain would extend its expiry by one year.

Assuming I connect the domain now and then in the future, say 6 months decide I’d like to transfer the domain, that would be possible, correct?
