  I’m trying to transfer a domain from go daddy. I have a code. Complete beginner

  Hi there,

  Can you tell us the domain? Keep in mind that if it’s a new domain, you’ll only be able to transfer it once you’ve owned it for at least 60 days.

  To transfer the domain to WordPress.com, you’ll first need to create a site with us. Go to https://wordpress.com/start/site/ and follow the prompts to do that. To use your own domain you’ll need our Pro plan, so select that on the plans step.

  Once your site is created, go to Upgrades ->Domains ->Add domain, and look for the option to use a domain you already own. Pick the domain transfer option, and once you confirm your domain you’ll get taken to the screen where you enter the transfer code you got from GoDaddy.
