Transferring domain

  Hi , when i initially made my website , i used wordpress.com and hosting + domain name got registred at wordpress.com.

  I have now moved my site to a new host , and i’m trying to transfer my domain name to godaddy , as i have already multiple other domains there.

  I’m trying to follow the support instructions for this , but it doesn’t work.
  If i go to my domains -> edit -> transfer domain ->”disable the domain lock…..” , the check box doesn’t stay.
  I do receive the authorization code , but if i refresh the Wp admin page and go back to transfer domain , the ‘disable the domain lock’ checkbox is unchecked again.

  Meanwhile , if i follow the godaddy’s transfer domain instructions , it says my domain is not available for transfer (probably because it doesn’t get unlocked on wordpress ?)

  What am i doing wrong ?
  Should i just cancel the domain , as wordpress is asking me to renew (at the cost of an hilarious 98€…) or to cancel the domain …
