Transferring Domain

    I recently started on wordpress.com to build a webpage for a business, I quickly realized wordpress.com is below the level of web design I’m looking for. So I downloaded wordpress.org and signed up for hosting through bluehost. I would like to transfer the domain I have already purchased through wordpress to bluehost but it’s telling me I have to wait 60 days to be able to do anything? Is there a way to bypass the 60 day and transfer my website. Or can I cancel it and start again some place else. I am not able to wait 60 days, the business owner​ wants more things on his website.

    Hi haleyhulwick,

    If you would like to transfer your domain to another registrar, you must wait 60 days from the purchase date or after changing the domain registrant’s Contact Information. This is standard across all registrars and is a rule set by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN).
