Transferring Domain

  I purchased a web address through WIX, and am now thinking that I prefer WordPress… is there a way to transfer the web address to my wordpress?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi,

  If you want to use your domain here, you’ll need the domain mapping upgrade instead:

  Use a Domain You Already Own (Domain Mapping)

  You can leave your domain at Wix and then point it to WordPress.com as explained at that link.

  Let me know if this is what you had in mind.

  But when I tried to transfer away from Wix, it said it has to be 60 days inbetween, which doesn’t make sense or really sucks because I’ve only had it 2 days.

  Actually, it’s not possible to transfer domains to WordPress.com. So the only way you can use your domain is to leave it at Wix and then point it to your WordPress.com site.
