Transferring Domain

  I need to move my two domain registrations. I get a message stating the information was sent to my email address but I don’t get the email. I completed the paperwork for reclaiming my domain, including a photo of my ID, and got a reply that I have to contact WordPress directly.

  Are you looking to move your domain to WordPress?

  Here are some instructions I found in the Support articles for transferring a domain:

  Hi there,

  What do you mean you need to reclaim your domain? I see two domains in your account, viewfromthehill.me and cfsampson.com. Both domains are active and belong to you, so there is nothing that needs to be reclaimed. Or are you speaking of a different domain?

  If you want to transfer either of those domains to a different provider, you can do so from My Site ->Domains by following the instructions here:

  Wild West Domains is the registrar used by WordPress.com, so those domains are registered with us. Also, it is not possible to transfer a domain to WordPress.com, only from.

  Yes, I need to transfer my domain to another registrar. When I follow the steps to get the code, I get a message that says an email has been sent. But I do not get the email. The only thing I can think is that it’s going to my old business email, which I gave up when I closed my business 18 months ago.

  Which domain are you trying to transfer, please? You own two.

  If you’re not receiving the email, and it’s not in the Spam folder, please make sure the domain contact email is correct – this is different from your WordPress.com account email.

  Update Contact Information for a Domain

  Please note that changing the email will result in a 60-day transfer lock unless you specifically opt out during the process, so please read all instructions carefully.
