Transferring Domain

  I own a domain and want to transfer it to my site once I develop it. During the transfer process, will my old site still be live?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there, what is the URL of your domain?

  Is your new site here at WordPress.com or will it be hosted elsewhere?

  My domain is grandbankscapital.com. My new site will be hosted on WordPress but I have not started creating it yet.

  To clarify, are you planning to host it with us at WordPress.com? Or do you plan to use the WordPress installation with a different host? These are 2 different things.
