Transferring domain away from Automattic.com
-
Somehow when I set up my new site, my domain onelifefarms.com got registered with Automattic.com. I’ve never built a site on WordPress.com, the site was built on HostGator. But now I need to access the nameservers to move my site and I can’t get access to those because the domain is with Automattic and there’s no way to contact them.
There’s nothing in my wordpress.com account that gives me access to my domain so I’m at a loss as to what to do. Can someone please help?
I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

Perhaps you need to log in to another WordPress.com account such as https://wordpress.com/forums/users/onelifefarms/ to manage your domain.

As far as I know, I only have one WordPress.com account. Thanks.
Even though https://wordpress.com/forums/users/onelifefarms/
was created on exactly the same day as you registered your domain here at WordPress.com?? -
The user account you’re logged into (
pmleppke) is not the account that purchased the domain. You need to log out of this account and log back in under
onelifefarmsas @themagicrobot suggested in order to manage your domain.Otherwise your only option is to go through our account recovery process. If you have the transaction IDs from charges on this account, you can use the Account Recovery form to prove ownership of the site, then WordPress.com support can help you from there. You can find that form here:
https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery
Just fill out as much information as you have including an email address where Support can get in touch. The transaction ID will be on your bank statement as
WordPressfollowed by a letter/number code. They’ll look like this:WordPress XXXXXXXXXXYou can read more about what the account recovery process entails here:
https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/
I hope that clarifies things.
