Transferring Domain from AWS
-
I want to transfer a domain I own with AWS to wordpress because I don’t want the .wordpress. at the end of my domain name. I can’t find how to change the servers in my AWS settings and when I tried to transfer on this site, the site said it was unable to. How do I complete the transfer so the website I purchased works?
WP.com: Yes
Jetpack: No
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulties transferring your domain from AWS to WordPress. Here are some steps for you:
To transfer your domain, you first need to unlock it and obtain an EPP code (also known as a transfer key or authorization code) from AWS. Sadly we’re not familiar with their system but I was able to find this guide that appears to walk you through the process: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/Route53/latest/DeveloperGuide/domain-transfer-from-route-53.html
Also if that does not help, you can contact AWS support for assistance and they should be able to help from their end as well. Once you have unlocked the domain and received your EPP transfer code, you can follow this guide from WordPress to finish the transfer process: https://wordpress.com/support/move-domain/transfer-domain-registration/
If you continue experiencing difficulties in transferring your domain, you may want to consider connecting your domain via settings instead, which is something you can do in the near term and will allow you to use the domain on your WordPress.com site while you sort out the transfer. Here’s how you do it: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-existing-domain/
Please let us know if you need any more help!
Best,
