Transferring domain from bluehost to wordpress.
-
Hi,
I have been trying to transfer the domain name I purchased via Bluehost to wordpress. I already got the authorization code but wordpress is not letting me transfer it.I don’t have a site linked to this WordPress.com account

That domain was recently registered.
ICANN, the organization which oversees all domain registrars, prohibits transfers within 60 days of registration.
You can still connect the domain to your WordPress.com site though: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/
If you still want to transfer your domain, I recommend doing that any time after 60 days and before it renews next yet: https://wordpress.com/support/move-domain/incoming-domain-transfer/

The problem is I do not know where to go to link the domain name to my WordPress.com. I need for a class assignment so I need it to connect to my wordpress for credit.

To connect your existing domain name to your WordPress.com site, please follow the steps at https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/

when I enter my domain it directs me again the main page. I need to just link this to my wordpress. is there a customer service or chat I need to handle this and I have spent hours trying to do this.

Hi there. Please be aware you’re posting to the free support forums and will be responded to by Staff and community volunteers – this is not live chat support. We’ll respond to your public post here.
Also, please refrain from creating duplicate posts. I’ve closed your other one and will continue helping you here.
In order to set your domain be your primary domain you need a paid plan. Otherwise your domain will stay as the free *.wordpress.com URL.
Currently you don’t have a paid plan, so you won’t be able to do what you want. Please purchase a plan (any level) and in that purchase process choose the “use a domain I already own” option.
With a Yearly Premium plan or above, you would gain access to live chat support and they can walk you through each step if you’re not able to get that set up in the plan setup process.
Let us know if anything seems unclear. Again, remember we’re not instant support, so please wait for Staff to respond to your replies. Thanks.
